*The Scottish Terrier breed is a well-knit small dog with short legs, strong bones and a compact, muscular body.

*Origin:
Scotland.

*Nickname: Scottie.


*Description: Bold...independent...it is the most behaviorally variable of all the Terriers...in any one day a member of this breed can be playful, loving, aggressive, obedient, dominant, stubborn, submissive, sullen, snappish, quiet, and noisy.


*Behavior: Behavior problems may include excessive barking and dominance challenges. Some people find its various behaviors a problem.

*Compatible with children: Use discretion...because of its behavioral variables, caution should be taken with children.


*Typical Female Weight: 18-21 lbs

*The Sealyham Terrier dog breed has a longish coat, usually white. The breed was developed to hunt badgers, otters, and foxes and has the short, powerful forelegs of a master digger.

*Origin: United Kingdom (Wales).

*Description: Bold but easygoing...intelligent...charming...extreme endurance...not likely to be mischievous...one of the few Terriers considered to be inactive indoors.


 *Behavior: Behavior problems may include dominance challenges and inappropriate guarding. .

 *The Skye Terrier breed is a long, low dog with a long, lavish coat that falls straight down either side of its head and body, forming an apron of hair all around it obscuring the legs.

*Origin: Scotland.


*Description: Loyal...protective...extremely sensitive to its owner's approval, disapproval, and moods.


*Behavior: Behavior problems may include over protectiveness and irritable snapping if manhandled. Some may be picky eaters.

*Compatible with children:
Not recommended...Skye Terriers are better suited for families with no children.

*Typical Female Weight: 25-30 lbs
*Typical Male Weight: 35-40 lbs
