*The Puli (pronounced POO-lee) breed is a small to medium sized dog developed in Hungary for sheep herding and now used as a guard dog. The Puli looks like a smaller, dark colored version of the Komondor and has the same corded coat and mop like appearance.

*Origin: Hungary

*Other names: Hungarian Puli...Pulik (plural)...Hungarian Water Dog


*Description: Intelligent...brazenly stubborn...high spirited...quick-tempered...bold...versatile...sometimes over protective of both master and property...springing gait like a bouncing ball...


 *Behavior: Behavior problems may stem from the breed's tenacious and sharp temperament and may include excessive barking, indoor restlessness, demanding behavior, over-protectiveness, willful disobedience, and dominance challenges to selected family members.

*Compatible with children:
Use discretion...The Puli is usually gentle with children within the family, but needs to be socialized from puppyhood.

*Rottweiler*



 *The Rottweiler (pronounced ROTT-why-lurr) is a very large breed originally used for cattle driving and eventually developed for guard and police work. The coat is similar to the Doberman's. They are often referred to as the "Cadillac of attack dogs."
