*Kuvasz*




*The Kuvasz breed is a large white dog with longish, slightly wavy coat. It was developed in Hungary as a guard and later as a shepherd dog. It resembles the Great Pyrenees breed in appearance.

*Description: Bold...courageous...untiring ability to work over rough terrain and for long periods...fearless...excellent guard dog...very stubborn...very independent...very intelligent...this dog should not be owned by anyone who has the slightest fear or submissiveness and that the whole family should be trained in how to control this dog.


*Behavior: Behavior problems may include restlessness, over-protectiveness, and dominance challenges to the owner and family members as the dog matures.

*Compatible with children: Use discretion...The Kuvasz is usually gentle with children within the family, but needs to be socialized from puppyhood.


*Typical Female Weight: 75-90 lbs
*Typical Male Weight: 110-115 lbs

*Mastiff*


                                                              

*The Mastiff breed is an enormous animal, a giant short-haired dog with a heavy head and a relatively short muzzle. It is one of the heaviest of all breeds. Some male Mastiffs can exceed 200 lbs of solid muscle. Mastiffs were bred in England for two thousand years as a watchdog. The Romans used them as gladiator, bull, lion, bear, and tiger fighters.

*Newfoundland*



 *The Newfoundland is an enormous breed with a flat, dense coat of longish hair, usually black, and completely webbed feet. They love the water, and puppies may sleep with their heads immersed in the water bowl. The breed has been used for water rescue and as guardians for children. Newfoundlands have a bearlike appearance and body roll when they trot.

*Description: Easygoing...loyal...trusting...calm...willing and able to help their masters on command...children protector...careful playmate.


*Behavior: Behavior problems are minimal except they may not obey quickly when told to get out of the water. Dogs of this breed are sensitive to summer heat and need lots of water. Many have a habit of immersing themselves in any available body of water, like their own water bowl, and then dripping all over the house. They also drool.
